Phillips Home Improvements Named One of Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Best Places to Work

September 10, 2026
Phillips Home Improvements Named Best Roofing Company in Allen TXPhillips Home Improvements has been named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Best Places to Work, earning a place among 100 North Texas companies recognized for exceptional workplace cultures and employee experiences. This marks the second time Phillips has received the honor, following its first Best Places to Work recognition in 2022.

The recognition is based on confidential employee surveys measuring factors including trust in leadership, communication and team dynamics, making the honor especially meaningful for a company that has built its culture around Faith, Family and Focus.

“This recognition means a lot because it comes back to our people,” said Jason Phillips, Founder and CEO of Phillips Home Improvements. “We can build great systems, set big goals and do exceptional work, but none of it happens without great people who believe in what we are building together. Faith, Family and Focus have guided this company for years, and I’m proud of the TEAMily that lives those values every day.”

Founded in 1997, Phillips has grown from a local painting contractor into a full-service exteriors and painting company serving homeowners throughout Dallas-Fort Worth. As the business has grown, Phillips has worked intentionally to preserve a culture in which people are expected to perform at a high level while also supporting, developing, and caring for one another.

At Phillips, Faith represents trust: trust in one another, trust in leadership and a shared commitment to doing what is right. Family reflects the company’s TEAMily culture and the belief that people should feel valued, supported and connected to something larger than their individual role. Focus represents the discipline to pursue excellence, take ownership, continuously improve and deliver on commitments to teammates and customers.

Those principles support Phillips’ vision to be the most trusted home improvement company in the state of Texas. For the company, earning that trust begins internally, with the people who represent Phillips every day.

“Trust isn’t something you can simply say you have. You have to earn it,” Phillips said. “That starts with how we treat our own people, how we lead, and how we hold ourselves accountable to one another. If we want to be the most trusted home improvement company in Texas, we have to build a company our employees trust and are proud to be part of.”

Phillips refers to its employees as its TEAMily, a combination of team and family that reflects the company’s emphasis on strong relationships, teamwork and shared responsibility.

That commitment extends beyond craftsmanship. Phillips invests in employee development, coaching, training and opportunities for advancement while maintaining clear performance expectations and accountability. The company’s culture is built on the belief that caring for people and expecting their best are not competing ideas, but complementary ones.

The Dallas Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work program is now in its 24th year. The 2026 program recognizes 100 companies in North Texas based on confidential feedback from their employees about their workplace experience.

Phillips Home Improvements was announced as one of the 100 honorees. The companies will be celebrated at the Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Best Places to Work Awards on October 15 at The Statler Dallas, where the final company rankings will be revealed.

For Phillips, the recognition represents more than another addition to a growing list of business honors.

“Our reputation with homeowners is incredibly important to us, but so is the experience of the people who come to work here every day,” Phillips said. “Being recognized as one of North Texas’ Best Places to Work tells us that what we are building on the inside matters too. That belongs to every member of our TEAMily.”
