Siding repair services in North Texas

Siding Repair Services

Serving North Texas Since 1997

You don’t always need a full siding replacement to protect your home. We specialize in targeted repairs for compromised areas—fixing only what needs attention to save you time and money. Every project includes a dedicated project manager, an honest assessment, and a detailed, itemized proposal before work begins.

Our Primary Repair Materials:

  • James Hardie® Fiber Cement: Expert repair and partial replacement of fiber cement panels and trim.
  • Wood Siding & Trim: Targeted restoration for wood siding, soffit, and fascia.
We offer wood siding repair services as a secondary option to Jame Hardie siding to support our customers desiring real wood or restoring one of the historic homes in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Wood is used only in special cases or on parts of a home where there may not be James Hardie alternative.

Step 2

Consult & Confirm

We recommend the actual scope needed — a section repair, trim replacement, or something more — and finalize your proposal together.

Step 3

Prepare & Protect

We protect your landscaping, windows, and property before any repair work begins.

Step 4

Repair & Match

We replace only what’s compromised, then hand-paint the repair to match your existing siding seamlessly.

Step 5

Clean Up

Crews clear all debris and leave your property cleaner than they found it.

Step 6

Walkthrough & Sign-Off

Your project manager walks the repaired area with you to confirm it blends seamlessly and the issue is resolved.

Siding Repair Customer Reviews

Marco C.

Siding Repair Project: North Texas “Top professionals and well-organized. One of the few I refer for work around carpentry and exterior painting on a house. They executed the repair on our siding, and project changes were also treated as normal. I appreciated Phillip’s customer service. They keep you updated, answer calls, text you back, and don’t leave you hanging.”

Susan R.

Siding Repair Project: North Texas “The Phillips Home Improvement team did a great job on our house painting project. We had significant repairs to the siding that were included, and they handled everything easily. Definitely recommended.”

Denis S.

Siding Repair Project: North Texas “Phillips did carpentry repairs and painted my siding. Everyone was professional and cared about me, which was great. The price was competitive and decent, the best on the market. Quality is outstanding. BTW, unexpected rain washed a few spots — it was repainted as soon as the surface dried the next day after the rain finished.”

Siding Repair FAQs

Basic Questions & Answers About Siding Repair

Q: How can I tell if my siding needs repair?

A: Common signs include warping, visible rot, peeling paint, cracked or loose boards, and fungal growth. Discoloration or soft, spongy spots when pressed are early indicators of wood rot specifically. Catching these early usually means a smaller, less expensive repair.

Q: Should the whole board be replaced, or just the damaged section?

A: It depends on the extent of the damage. A small, isolated area can often be repaired without replacing the entire board. But if damage is likely to recur or has compromised structural integrity, full replacement is usually more cost-effective over time than repeating a partial fix.

Q: Are wood fillers or epoxies an acceptable fix, or should the board be replaced?

A: Wood filler and epoxy can mask minor cosmetic damage temporarily, but they don’t address the underlying cause and aren’t a long-term fix for real rot. When a board is extensively damaged, replacing it is the more effective solution for both structural integrity and appearance.

Q: Do you repair vinyl siding?

A: No — we work primarily with James Hardie fiber cement and don’t install or repair vinyl siding. If you have wood siding or trim, we’ll repair it as long as the wood itself is still sound.

Q: What if my siding needs more than a repair?

A: We’ll tell you honestly during our inspection. If damage is widespread enough that a repair wouldn’t hold up or make financial sense, we’ll walk you through what a full siding installation would look like instead — no default push toward the bigger job.
